We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Trauma-Informed Bodyworker specializing in both clinical massage and intuitive healing practices. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients on their healing journey. Your expertise in trauma-informed care, combined with clinical massage techniques and intuitive modalities, will empower individuals to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough client assessments, taking into consideration trauma history and individual needs
Develop personalized treatment plans, integrating clinical massage techniques and intuitive healing practices
Utilize clinical massage techniques (e.g., myofascial release, deep tissue) to address physical pain and tension
Apply intuitive healing practices (e.g., energy work, traditional healing) to support emotional and spiritual healing
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment notes and progress reports
Educate clients about self-care techniques and provide recommendations for continued wellness
Collaborate with other wellness professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
Adhere to ethical guidelines, maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
Stay updated on the latest research and techniques related to trauma-informed care
Qualifications:
Certified or licensed Bodyworker with expertise in clinical massage techniques
Proven experience in trauma-informed care and working with clients who have experienced trauma
Proficiency in intuitive healing practices such as Reiki, energy work, or similar modalities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and creating a safe space for clients
Culturally sensitive and committed to inclusivity and diversity in your practice with a clear understanding of LGBTQ and BIPOC communities and their unique needs
Preferred but not required: Ministry license or experience in providing spiritual guidance and support
The ideal candidate has a daily spiritual practice and is open to honoring and including the team’s collaborative rituals at the office.
